What is a herd share?
Michigan law prohibits the sale of unprocessed dairy (raw milk) but does allow herd share arrangements. Purchasing a herd share allows those who either may not or chose not to keep a dairy goat on their property to share in the ownership of the animal in exchange for the resulting unprocessed milk. We sell herd shares, we do not sell milk.
