Faeline
Big Mama Fae is our Herd Queen. Wise, tender, and stoic, this queen has our hearts and our respect. Her sweetness brings us the most joy. She is mother to Praline, Flint, and Geode.
Praline
Our moon-spotted mama Praline leads with sass and, if you’re lucky, she will see you as a scratching post. She has the most expressive eyes that are easy to lose yourself in. Daughter of Faeline and mother to Malachite and Ruby.
Cappy
You must earn your relationship with Cappy. Once you’ve reached Cappy’s heart, you will have a best friend! She is intelligent and kind. She is a first-time mom and doing a fantastic job! Mother of Jasper and Opal.
Desi
Desi is the baby through and through. She isn’t the youngest, but she demands the most attention. She would pick time with humans over time with goats any day. She had her first baby, Sapphire, and is a wonderful mama.
Rosie
Rosie is one of our smallest goats, but with the biggest personality. She will go toe-to-toe with the larger girls and loves to bring the spunk. She makes the most hilarious expressions and is guaranteed to make you laugh!
Elaine
Elaine is a graduate of the plump-it-up program and is a fellow troublemaker like her sister, Delilah. The two can always be found together, looking for humans to jump on. Niece to Violet, sister to Delilah.
Delilah
Delilah had a rough start on the farm. She came to us underweight but is a graduate of the plump-it-up program! Delilah is a bit of a troublemaker, as she will jump on you for kisses. You cannot escape her love! Neice to Violet and Sister to Elaine.
Violet
Violet used to be shy but through our hug-violet-multiple-times-per-day program, she is now one of our most friendly. Violet is the first to line up for morning hugs and would really like to eat a strand of your hair. She is aunt to Delilah and Elaine.
Ike
Ike gives Desi’s need for attention a run for her money! Ike loves to yell hello to every human she sees. She will follow close behind and happily accepts every kiss. Sister to Izzy.
Izzy
Izzy is sister to Ike and the most romantic goat. She will stare deep into your eyes, draw you in for a hug, and delight you with her velvety fur.
Ruby
Ruby is our first girl born on the farm! She has the ever-coveted moon spots that remind us of the Jacobsville Sandstone found here in the upper peninsula. Daughter of Praline and Rocket, granddaughter to Faeline.
Sapphire
This little cutie came into the world with confidence and spunk! The only kid of Desi and daughter to Rocket, she makes friends with ease and can always be found near her bestie Opal.
Opal
Opal has a loud voice and knows how to use it! She spends her days being adorable and demanding her mom feed her again. And again. And again. We are also obsessed with her underbite! Opal is daughter to Cappy and Aurthur, sister to Jasper, and best friend to Sapphire.
Aurthur
One of two herd sires, Arthur is the sweetest buck in the (mid)west. He is every bit the cowboy he is named after. He may or may not try to smother you with kisses. Father to Opal and Jasper.
Rocket
Shy and lovable, this bouffant buck brings all the girls to the yard! Rocket knows how to romance the ladies and enjoys finding ways to break out and say hello to them as often as possible. Father to Flint, Geode, Malachite, Ruby, and Sapphire.
Flint
Son of Faeline and Rocket, this adorable buckling stole our hearts and cemented his place at BigGoat Farm. We couldn’t bear to part with his teddy bear face or sweet nature. He will be a great dad one day!
Our Bucklings: Geode, Malachite, and Jasper
The bucklings we currently have on the farm are Geode, Malachite, and Jasper. All bucklings are available for sale and can be wethered. We work with our bucklings so they don’t jump or headbutt. They are very social and should age into temperate and friendly bucks!
Bucklings we do not sell will stay on the farm as brush clearers. They are available to rent for your brush clearing needs! Eco-friendly and they leave behind the best fertilizer.
*Geode has been sold! He is off to a new life on a new farm, but he will always have a place in our hearts as one of the first kids born on the farm!
*Jasper is also off to a new home! So excited to have our little guy move right next door!
